I just installed Audacious on a fresh install of Ubuntu 10.04 and was surprised to see 2 different GUIs for Audacious. Once I launched the gtkui version it struck me instantly that this is what I have been missing from this player. Absolutely brilliant and completely kickass. If I knew that this one existed before, I would have used that long time ago. Thank you developers!

However, it does miss a few features before becoming absolutely perfect.
* Drag-n-drop capabilities to the main window would be very convenient (for both for folders and files).
* LastFM scrobbler
* The pause button could be replaced with a shuffle button. Pressing play once a song is playing should pause the song and play again once pressed again. If my memory serves me right, this is the behavior of Rhythmbox and Banshee. That way you get more features on the same gui real estate.
*A completely unnecessary feature, but very sweet, is displaying cover art and some information about the track when mouse is hovering over the song in the list (just like it does in the original skin/version).

In either case, the current state of this GUI is better than the original already, so the above would be icing on the cake.

I'm a noob, switched from win just few months ago, and could not find replacement for AIMP, till now, thank you!!

playlist renaming is possible in 2.4-alpha2; doubleclick on the tab.

I rediscovered Audacious when I foud the Gtkui, a little more functionality and will be great.
